That particular stone.
Who gave it to you. What you know about it. Why you kept it.
For what you want to hold on to
A stone. A gift. A bracelet.
Some things are special because of the people connected to them.
When you pass it on, record what it means to you. So the next person receives more than just the object.
Pass an object onOn your own phones. Confirmed together. Private between you.

It begins before XO
Someone receives a stone as a gift. Later, they give it to you, along with the memory of the person who first gave it.
To someone else, it is a stone. To you, it carries a connection to someone.
XO gives those words a place alongside the object. You can describe an earlier memory as ‘as told to me’. The handover you confirm together now is a new moment in that journey.
An example of how meaning is passed on.A small gesture
Name your object, take a photo and briefly describe why it is special.
Confirm your part and send the private invitation to the recipient.
The recipient reviews the photo and description and confirms receipt. You can both download the handover record and photo.
For this first version, you each use your own ChatGPT account. Your email address is not shown to the other person.
Small enough to hold
Who gave it to you. What you know about it. Why you kept it.
A birthday, a thank-you, a fresh start. The words can travel with the gift.
Who you met and why you exchanged it. A small reminder of a shared moment.
Your story, kept with care
The photo, description and handover record are accessible only to the two participating accounts. No public profile or feed is created.
One object, one photo, a description with your story of up to 500 characters, and your names or aliases. You can include a descriptive note in the photo, as long as the object remains recognisable. Keep the original note yourself as well.
Yes, in the description. Distinguish what you know yourself from what you were told. A previous giver does not need to confirm it. The handover record covers only your current handover.
Yes. After confirmation, the recipient can choose ‘Pass this object on’. The next chapter stays linked to the same object and the previous record. It adds a new photo, a new story and two new confirmations. Earlier private photos and texts are not shared automatically.
It records that two separate accounts each made their own statement. It does not prove ownership, identity outside XO or what physically happened. Earlier memories remain memories, even when you keep them here.
No. You use a phone and a private link. An NFC charm could offer a convenient way in later; you do not need one now.
After you both confirm, you can each download the handover record and original photo. Keep them together. XO does not promise permanent storage; keeping your own copy is part of caring for the story.
The next chapters
Successive handovers share the same object ID. Each handover is confirmed separately, and you can return to your own chapters.
